THE SOUND OF KENELIS is a combination of Grunge, Indie and Anthemic Shoegaze all fused together in a big pot of Rock! Comparisons have included the raw angst of Hole, vulnerablity of Placebo and diversity of Radiohead. Kenelis are constantly developing their sound and are known for experimenting with different time signiatures and song structures whilst still staying true to creating unpretentious memorable rock music.
IN JANUARY 2009 Kenelis released their much anticipated debut album ‘Remember How It Felt’ produced by Angus Cowan (Reuben, Redwood) on their indie label Black Grass Records. The promote the album, the band have released singles ‘Nobody See’s Me (But You)’ and ‘Drained’
and produced two professional music videos. Their CD distribution includes HMV Store in Guildford, HMV online and digitally available on all major download sites.
SO FAR THEIR CAEREER HAS INCLUDED sharing the stage with the likes of Reuben, Hundred Reasons, Your Codename is:Milo, Fightstar and a Ghost of a Thousand. Had expsoure on radio stations such as XFM, Total Rock Radio Metal Head Radio and various Student Radio stations all over the UK. The band have played various Festivals including the famous Rock Sound Cave at Guilfest. Their Pride history includes London, Nottingham & Brighton and the band have generated a fast growing loyal following in well established London venues including the Borderline, Monto Water Rats, Jamm,229 & The Cobden Club.
ROCKSOUND MAGAZINE tell you to 'Keep a close eye on this lot' and Loud Horizon pitch them as 'One of the UK's next generation Stadium Rockers'. Rapid album sales have exceeded expectations by selling out three times within the first three weeks on hmv.com. With a dramatically increasing fanbase, an already acclaimed debut album and a new album due out later this year, Kenelis guarantee to bring something new and exciting to today’s music scene.
