THE SOUND OF KENELIS is a combination of Grunge, Punk and Anthemic Shoegaze all fused together in a big pot of Rock! Comparisons have included the raw angst of Hole, vulnerability of Placebo and diversity of Radiohead. Kenelis are constantly developing their sound and are known for experimenting with different time signatures and song structures, whilst staying true to creating unpretentious memorable rock music.
IN JANUARY 2009 Kenelis released their much anticipated debut album ‘Remember How It Felt’ produced by Angus Cowan (Reuben, Redwood) on their indie label Black Grass Records. To promote the album, Kenelis have released singles ‘Nobody See’s Me (But You)’ and ‘Drained’ and produced two professional music videos. Rapid album sales exceeded expectations by selling out three times within the first three weeks on hmv.com.
SO FAR THEIR CAREER HAS INCLUDED sharing the stage with the likes of Reuben, Hundred Reasons, Your Codename is: Milo, Fightstar, Ghost of a Thousand and The Levellers (Mark Chadwick).
